What the Bible Says About the Arts, coming this Fall!
Updated: Sep 3, 2022
"The lordship of Christ should include an interest in the arts." - Francis Schaeffer.
The human impulse to create reflects our being made in the image of a creator God. In this course, Dr. Bill Barnett will take us on a creative journey to explore, examine and engage in what the Bible says about the arts from a Christian viewpoint. Schaeffer’s “Art and the Bible,” other resources, speakers, media, and creative expression, will set the pace for our journey together.
“No work of art is more important that the Christian’s own life, and every Christian is called upon to be an artist in this sense. He may have no gift of writing, no gift of composing or singing, but each man has the gift of creativity in terms of the way he lives his life. The Christian’s life is to be an artwork. . .a thing of beauty in the midst of a lost and dying world.” - FRANCIS SCHAEFFER
